TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF USE

Identification Policy

In South Africa it is illegal to sell Alcoholic products to persons under the age of 18 (eighteen) years of age. The Drinks Delivery Company will therefore not sell any alcoholic product to any person who is not 18 (eighteen) years of age, nor will the products be delivered should the person not be able to show valid identification with proof of name and birth date. (Identification Doc, Drivers Licence or Passport).

Any alcohol purchased must be signed for by someone over the age of 18 on delivery. We reserve the right to request proof of age, and therefore our delivery staff will insist on age verification if you “look” 25 years of age or younger

Delivery Terms

It is against the law to leave restricted goods such as alcohol unattended at an address. Please ensure that there is a responsible person at the delivery address or venue, that will be available to sign and take delivery at the requested time. Please note it is the receiving persons responsibility to check the order for broken or incorrect goods.

Delivery Times

Delivery days are Monday to Saturday from 09h00 till 17h00. We will not deliver on days where the South African – Liquor Act No.59 of 2003, stipulates that it is illegal to do so.

The Drinks Delivery Company delivers to the following areas: Johannesburg, Midrand & Pretoria.

When checking out please choose a delivery time in the notes box. We cannot guarantee delivery at this exact time however this indicates the delivery time we strive to achieve. When selecting a delivery time, please always take into account that your funds need time to clear into our bank account. These funds need to have cleared at least 48 hours before your chosen delivery time and date.

A delivery fee will be charged per web order.

PARTY SERVICE

The Drinks Delivery Company operates on a “Sale-or- Return” basis. This means you may return goods which are unused for a full credit

This applies to all goods EXCEPT:

Broken 6-packs: Goods which are provided in sealed 6-packs eg. Beers and cold drinks, need to be returned in their original 6-pack packaging. You will not be credited for any loose/single cans or bottles that were supplied as sealed 6-packs.

Broken 24-packs: Goods which are provided in sealed 24-packs eg. Beers and cold drinks, need to be returned in their original 24-pack packaging. You will not be credited for any loose 6-pack cans or bottles that were supplied as sealed 24-packs.

Damaged goods: Any goods with damaged labels or damaged original packaging cannot be returned for credit.

Fresh Fruit Juice, Ice, Ice Blocks etc cannot be returned for credit

A delivery charge will be calculated after the party or function and charged to the final bill.

Please ensure that there is a responsible person at your premises or venue, available to sign on delivery and collection of the goods. The Drinks Delivery Company will only be held responsible for the goods that are signed for on the invoice and collection note.

ORDERS AND PAYMENTS (For Party Service)

We require a deposit for the function to the value of all the goods that are being delivered, which includes a deposit for glassware etc. The payment needs to have cleared into our bank account at least 48 hours before the day of delivery of the goods.

On completion of your function we will email you the reconciliation, and any money owing to you will be credited into your account within 24 hours of you notifying The Drinks Delivery Company of your banking details where the refund should be deposited.
